Everyone is a fish. That is just how it is.
Fin-Der is a dating sim where you play as a regular human who, after watching an ad for a dating app called Fin-Der, decides in a moment of desperation to download it. The UI looks normal enough. The profiles do not. Every single person on the app is a fish. Not a person who likes fish. Not a fishing enthusiast. A fish.
Nobody acknowledges this. The app works like any other dating app. You swipe, you match, you make awkward conversation. The fish have jobs, hobbies, opinions about pineapple on pizza. You start to wonder if maybe this is fine actually.
Project Hooked uses the dating pool as more than a metaphor. The app and everyone on it reflects the bizarre, dehumanizing, and occasionally hopeful experience of modern dating culture. Some matches work out. Some are catfish. Literally.
It asks: what does it mean to search for connection in a pool this crowded? And are you really that desperate?
The answer to the second one is yes. You already downloaded it.

Super fun game, and totally fell head over fins for reporter fish. I'd love an ending with maybe a date, or something a little less abrupt, but otherwise this was very engaging. Good job!
The characters are quite fun, but I'm unsure if the game is supposed to end after the very first conversation.
